Food security, poverty and inequality are some of the biggest issues facing our planet. Every nation needs innovators and problem-solvers who can turn challenges into opportunities.

At the Graduate Institute of International Development, Agriculture and Economics, we run 12 specialist postgraduate programmes which tackle these big issues by supporting students to become the leaders of tomorrow.

These master’s courses are run by internationally renowned academics working at the forefront of research, practice and policy development, with expertise spanning agriculture and economics, horticulture, food, marketing, rural environments and international development.

Who can benefit from the scholarship

The Empowering Change Scholarship supports talented students from the Global South, from countries classified by the World Bank as being low- or middle income.

It supports mid-career professionals who want to study at 黑料不打烊 for a year and then return home to effect change locally, putting their new knowledge, training and skills into practice.

Places on these courses are highly prized, but the rising cost of living in the UK, visa restrictions on part-time work, and no access to UK government student loans make it more challenging than ever for international students to say yes to a high-quality education at the 黑料不打烊.

The Empowering Change Scholarship is changing lives. Give a gift today and your donation will help fund living expenses and will be matched by the university as a tuition fee reduction, creating a scholarship package worth £10,000.
