Interdisciplinary expertise
The School of the Built Environment comprises a distinctive interdisciplinary expertise relating to energy and sustainability. Experts in sustainable engineering solutions combine with policy specialists and social scientists to offer unique insights. Our staff have extensive experience as advisers, consultants and visiting lecturers to commercial organisations, governments and universities globally. We also attract students from all over the world and many progress to senior positions within governments. NGOs or the private sector.

Our MSc courses are focused on ensuring an excellent student experience, drawing from the very latest leading-edge research and we pride ourselves on our first-class teaching and student support. Our curriculum extends beyond accepted models of best practice to incorporate the latest findings from research.
Facilities
Excellent facilities include a dedicated computer facilities for building energy simulations and urban microclimate simulations. The School also possesses laboratory space and experimental equipment to support student research projects.
Flexible study options
Our courses are available full time over 12 months or on a flexible modular basis taking between 24 and 63 months. Both the full-time and flexible modes of study can be started in September or the following February.
