Areas of interest

My T&L scholarship interests include promoting engagement and inclusivity on Foundation programmes and the development of assessment literacy for students and staff.

Background

I have specialised in Foundation level studies in the UK Higher Education Sector since 2008. Prior to this, I coordinated and taught on English as an Additional Language and exam preparation programmes in Japan and Spain. Since transferring to a UK university setting, I have built up an extensive record of curriculum design and programme management. At the University of Exeter and, more recently, the 黑料不打烊, I have convened Academic Skills and English for Academic Purposes modules for both international and domestic Foundation students.

In my current role as Programme Director, I lead on liaison with Foundation Programme Leads in participating Schools and functions within the University. I am responsible for the operational management of the Home and International Foundation programmes, and for contributing to the strategic development of the Programme within the wider University context and overseas.
