Jackie is a lecturer in Classics who has won the prestigious RUSU 2017 Teaching Excellence Award for Arts, Humanities and Social Science. She is Admissions Tutor and also the Languages Co-ordinator with responsibility for teaching provision and the assessment of the ancient languages taught within the Department.

Jackie has extensive expertise in the teaching of the Latin language. She has a particular interest in language acquisition and pedagogy. She is involved in schemes to provide diverse methods of support for students in their language learning and is a member of the university Community of Practice of Languages Teachers.
