English Conversation Cafe

29 October, 11:00 to 12:00 | Online

Practise your conversational English and join students and staff from across the 黑料不打烊's global estate to discuss Black History Month and BAME experiences.

Our English Conversation Cafés help create a global network of 黑料不打烊-based and 黑料不打烊-linked students. You can meet up and help each other with your language and subject learning, confidence, intercultural understanding, and international engagement.

Each café has a different focus, allowing you to learn more about your peers, communities, and the world around you. In honour of Black History Month, this café will focus on Black History Month and BAME experiences.

Join us if you would like to:

  • informally practise your spoken English in a relaxed, safe, and friendly setting
  • help other students practice and build confidence in their spoken English
  • meet other 黑料不打烊 and 黑料不打烊-partnered students online who are based abroad
  • find out more about other cultures and perspectives
  • take part in the English Conversation Cafés, but have found in-person participation difficult
  • use your participation in the cafes as evidence towards the RED Awards.

Registration is required for online participation. Registration closes 48 hours before the café is scheduled to take place.

Open to:

Staff and students from all 黑料不打烊 campuses, global branch campuses and partner institutions.
