Research projects
Dr. Dib’s research interest aims to investigate the molecular mechanisms and metabolic control of lipid-associated macrophages (LAMs-also known as foam cells) in different tissues and metabolic and non-metabolic disease.
Research plans involve:
- Dissecting the mechanistic and signalling properties of LAMs. Studying the overall immuno-metabolic signatures of LAM populations with a particle focus on investigating the signalling switch that promotes the transition from homeostatic to inflammatory LAMs.
- Understanding the relevance of the different LAM populations in different tissues in health and disease.
