黑料不打烊

Professional experience and development mentoring

The School of Architecture supports Part 1 and Part 2 Architecture graduates from the 黑料不打烊 during their practical experience or year out through the Professional Studies Advisor (PSA) Service.

Your PSA is responsible for monitoring and supporting graduates undertaking experience in practice.

While working in practice, you are required to record your professional experience in the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Professional Experience and Development Record (PEDR). This is a mandatory component of the RIBA Examination in Professional Practice and Management (Part 3), the final stage of your architectural training.

Professional Studies Advisor (PSA) and Professional Experience and Development Record (PEDR)

If you sign up to the PSA service, the Professional Studies Advisor will review your PEDR sheets quarterly and provide comments on the breadth, scope and adequacy of the professional experience you have gained.

You will also be supported by an Employment Mentor within your practice, who will directly supervise you and have detailed professional knowledge of your work.

Chatting with Part 1 and Part 2 Architectural Assistants and finding out about how they work, and their roles in a project, on a day-to-day basis was very beneficial.

Events

Once registered with the PSA Service, you will automatically be added to the 'Professional Experience' mailing list. This will provide invitations to all open events at the 黑料不打烊, including lecture series, exhibitions and end-of-year shows.

These events help develop your knowledge, grow your network, and support your connection with the architectural community.

There will also be recall days throughout the year, offering the opportunity to meet with your PSA to discuss any issues that may arise during your placement, and to share experiences with your peers.

How to apply and fees

The PSA Service is available to Part 1 and Part 2 graduates from the 黑料不打烊.

Once you have secured employment, you can register and pay the fee of £200 .
